Bronze was therefore bittersweet for the Pole, but there is no doubt that she can be very proud of herself. She achieved a historic thing. Not only did she win the first Olympic medal in her career, but it was also the first medal in the history of the country in tennis. What is more, Świątek gained not only prestige, but also secured an Olympic pension. She also collected a large sum and other valuable valuables from the Polish Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.
And soon the Pole will be back on the courts and fighting to maintain the lead in the WTA ranking. However, we will not see Murray on the pitch. The Briton is an absolute legend. He has won 46 ATP tournaments in singles and three in doubles. In total, he has won three Grand Slam tournaments – the US Open and Wimbledon twice. He also did great at the Olympics – he won two gold medals in singles and silver in mixed doubles.
