The tragic accident occurred in South Africa. A minibus collided with a truck. 13 people died, including 10 teachers on their way to school.

The tragedy occurred on Tuesday in the northern province of Limpopo South Africa said local police commissioner Thembi Hadebe. A minibus carrying teachers collided with a truck on the road between Polokwane and Dendron. The cause of the accident was “careless driving” by a truck driver who was driving against traffic, Vongani Chauke, spokeswoman for the local transport department, told the media.

A policeman described a possible version of events other than driver error. – I can say that this morning the whole of Polokwane, including this route, was very foggy, so you couldn't see the route clearly. I think this may have, in some way, had an impact on this tragic event, added Commissioner Hadebe.
