Today is Independence Day – on this occasion we hang flags and pin cotillos. The “Niepodległa” Program Office encourages you to participate in the “Niepodległa do hymnu” campaign – singing the national anthem at high noon.

Today, Independence Day celebrations will be held throughout the country. The central celebration of November 11 is planned at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw. There, at noon, there will be a ceremonial guard briefing in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, attended by President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Marshals of the Sejm Elżbieta Witek and the Senate Tomasz Grodzki.


At noon they sing the national anthem

The “Niepodległa” Program Office encourages people to participate in the “Niepodległa do hymnu” campaign – singing the national anthem at high noon. “In recent years, Polish women, Poles and friends of Poland sang on all continents” – recalls “Niepodległa” in the statement.

“This year, the ‘Niepodległa’ Program Office also invites you to participate in the campaign and to celebrate the 103rd anniversary of Poland regaining independence. Singing together on November 11 at 12 will be possible, among others, at Plac Zamkowy in Warsaw, where the anthem will remain played by a trumpeter from the Clock Tower of the Royal Castle and sung by the Academic Choir of the Warsaw University of Technology “, informs” Niepodległa “.

The next place where the anthem will be sung will be the Krakow market square, where it will sound from the tower of St. Mary’s Basilica, and the singing participants will be accompanied by the Polish Radio Choir.
