LONDON — Three Bulgarian residents dwelling in England who have been arrested in February on suspicion of espionage offenses have been charged with possessing false id paperwork, the Metropolitan Police stated Tuesday.

Orlin Roussev, 45, Bizer Dzhambazov, 42, and Katrin Ivanova, 32, have been taken into custody after they appeared final month within the Central Felony Courtroom in London.

The trio is suspected of working for Russian safety providers, the BBC and different British media reported.

The fees allege the three had false paperwork amongst 34 items of identification of their possession. The BBC stated paperwork, together with passports and id playing cards, have been from the U.Okay., Bulgaria, France, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece and the Czech Republic.

Counter-terrorism detectives arrested the three with two others on suspicion of an offense below the Official Secrets and techniques Act 1911, which criminalizes spying. That investigation continues.

The opposite two arrested, a 31-year-old man and 29-year-old girl, each from London, have been launched on bail and are due in courtroom subsequent month.

No pleas have been entered for the three folks charged. Their subsequent courtroom date has not been set.

The BBC stated the three had been dwelling within the U.Okay. for years.
