Industrial climbers, dressed as superheroes and fairy-tale characters, washed the windows in the hospital building of the Medical University of Warsaw. However, as they said, it was mainly about surprising the little patients and making them happy for Christmas.
– We are industrial mountaineers. As part of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, we are organizing such an action to show this kindness – said the coordinator of the action, Krzysztof Raca, in an interview with TVN24.
He said that on Christmas Day, a group of mountaineers, with the help of the fire brigade and police, looked into the windows of the pediatric hematology and oncology clinic of the University Clinical Center in Gdańsk.
– First of all, we go to their windows, we try to wash the windows often, but we don't always succeed, but we try to see them from the other side, show them superheroes, show other aspects, but just be from the other side. – he added. He noted that such actions have been organized for five years.
“We paint smiles on children's faces”
– There was an opportunity to do something good for the kids, give them a little joy on such a special day, especially a holiday. Children are in hospitals, they cannot go home. If we can give them some joy, then why not – added another mountaineer, Wojciech Pociejewski.
– We paint smiles on children's faces on such a special day as Christmas (Christmas – ed.). They are confined to wards, and we can at least do something good to make them smile, said mountaineer Remigiusz Zdziech.
