Summer this year may be extremely warm. – It is possible that in June in the west of the country there will be heat up to 36 degrees Celsius – said Grzegorz Walijewski, spokesman for the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management.

Are we going to have an extremely warm summer? The experimental long-term forecast prepared by IMWM shows that yes. Walijewski noted that according to the forecast, June, July and August are to be the months in which the temperature will significantly exceed the norm. – It is possible that in June in the west of the country there will be heat up to 36 degrees Celsius, and in the following months thermometers will show similar values - said the IMWM spokesman. He added that these heatwaves will last longer than four days. – On the one hand, this is good news for those who plan to stay in Poland for their holidays, but on the other hand, such high temperatures may pose a threat to our health and life – he explained.

Climatologists point out that tropical nights will also occur. They occur when the minimum temperature does not fall below 20 degrees Celsius. – This may also be a problem for our body, because then we do not rest and regenerate – warned Walijewski.
