A resident of Chechło near Olkusz was taken to hospital with severe burns. The woman's life is in danger, according to the police. Three men have been detained in this case, but they will not be questioned until next week.
Emergency services were called to a property in Chechle on Friday around 5 p.m. According to the police, an “alcoholic meeting” was taking place there.
The woman's injuries were so serious that an emergency medical service helicopter was called to the scene and transported the 38-year-old to hospital.
– Since the situation is not clear, the prosecutor's office will investigate how the burn occurred. We are taking every version into account – said on Saturday asp. Bartosz Izdebski from the press office of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Kraków. The services do not rule out that it could have been arson.
Izdebski told tvn24.pl that the 38-year-old's condition is serious.
In this case, three men were arrested who were on the same property, aged 31, 36 and 46. All three, as reported by the spokesman, were under the influence of alcohol at the time of their arrest. The arrested are to be dealt with after the weekend.
