MEXICO CITY — The collapse in central Mexico of a 50-foot (15-meter) tall part of scaffolding on a street challenge killed 5 staff and injured three, officers stated Sunday.
The employees had been pouring cement into an enormous type on what seemed to be a freeway retaining wall, when the shape and the scaffolding gave method Saturday, plunging the employees to their deaths in a tangle of steel and moist cement.
The Transportation Division stated the accident occurred within the central state of Hidalgo, and that every one personnel on the positioning had been pulled from the rubble.
The construction was being constructed by a personal contractor, and investigations had been underway into the reason for the collapse.
Work website security is mostly weak in Mexico.
