85 new electric buses. We know offers in the tender

The company selected in the tender will provide 85 new electric buses to the capital. Miejskie Zakłady busowe has opened offers. Three companies are interested: Solaris, German Daimler Buses and Spanish Irizar.

The announced tender is divided into four tasks. The first concerns the purchase of 25 pieces of “solos” 12-meter, the second 50 pieces of 18-meter “articulated”, the third 5 autonomous buses with a length of 12 meters and the fourth 10 pieces of 10-meter buses.

MZA has opened offers for three tasks, there is a tender for five autonomous buses with a length of 12 meters.

Offers

Solaris (PLN 89.1 million) submitted the lowest offer in the first task, he proposed little more for the purchase of Irizar buses (PLN 89.5 million). The highest offer was made by a Mercedes representative – Daimler Buses (PLN 106.2 million). The city carrier reserved PLN 99.1 million for this task. gross.

In the largest order, for 50 articulated, the offers were very similar. Solaris valued his proposal at PLN 227.5 million, Irizar at PLN 239.8 million. And Daimler at PLN 240.4 million. MZA reserved PLN 238.6 million in the budget.

In turn, in the smallest order for 10-meter buses, the order changed. Irizar (PLN 30.2 million), Daimler (PLN 35.1 million) and Solaris (PLN 37.5 million) proposed the least. The MZA budget reserved PLN 34.1 million.

All buses are to be low -floor, electric, charged with a plug. “We used to order buses loaded by pantograf, but now because the battery capacity has increased, while maintaining small size, it is not necessary” – explained Stawicki. He added that the current batteries allow you to travel on a single charge of about 350 km, which is completely enough for one day on the route.

Disodulation option

The company chosen in the tender will have, depending on the task, 17-20 months to deliver new electric buses to Warsaw.

“There is also an option to double without the need to write another tender, i.e. we are talking about 180 new electric buses” – emphasizes MZA.

At the beginning of next year, 50 new, articulated solaris will come to Warsaw, for which MZA signed a contract at the beginning of February this year. It is not yet known which brand will be 12-meter buses that are a separate task of the same tender. There are Yutong and Solaris in the game.

Municipal bus plants already have almost two hundred electric buses. In recent weeks, the zero -emission fleet has been increased by thirty 12 -meter vehicles – Solaris and Yutong. He is also transporting Warsaw residents also the first of 12 electric “articulated” ordered for a city carrier by the municipality.
