32-year-old Piotr B. will be charged with killing his parents. The crime took place in February in a house at Wapienne Street in Sosnowiec. The victims had numerous cuts and stab wounds caused by a knife. B. escaped to Warsaw after the crime. There, at the bus terminus, he approached the city bus driver and told him that he had committed murder.
Information about the closure of the investigation in this case was provided on Friday by Bartosz Kilian from the press team of the District Prosecutor's Office in Sosnowiec. The indictment was sent to the local district court.
Piotr B. was charged with a total of four crimes. – Two of them concern the murder of parents with particular cruelty and as a result of motivation that deserves special condemnation. The other two were the taking of a car for short-term use and the theft of an ATM card and documents belonging to the injured parties – said prosecutor Kilian.
He killed his parents
February 11 in a single-family house at ul. The bodies of Ewa and Marek B. were found on Wapienne Street in Sosnowiec. They were 66 and 67 years old. The perpetrator inflicted numerous cuts and stab wounds on both of them using a knife. It was quickly established that the perpetrator was the son of the murdered. After the crime, Piotr B. took his father's car and started to escape towards the Czech border, but along the way he changed his plans – he abandoned the car in Zabrze and hitchhiked to Warsaw.
He told the bus driver that he had killed him
– Around 10 a.m., while staying in one of the capital's bus depots, he approached the driver of a city bus and told him that he had committed murder. A police patrol alerted by a witness arrested Piotr B. The man's possession included, among others, an ATM card belonging to the injured party, Marek B., as well as other documents that the detainee had no right to dispose of – described prosecutor Kilian.
He confessed to the crime
According to the prosecutor's office, numerous procedural activities were carried out during the investigation, including an inspection of the crime scene, as well as a procedural experiment aimed at reconstructing the course of the crime. Many witnesses were also interviewed, experts in various specialties were consulted, and extensive documentation was secured.
Piotr B. was interrogated several times. He admitted to committing all the acts he was accused of and gave extensive explanations. He has been under arrest since his arrest.
