Although Wisła Kraków was doomed to be devoured by Rapid Vienna, Kazimierz Moskal's players lost only 1:2 in their first match at home and can only blame their own ineffectiveness in front of their opponents' goal. The first league team is performing well in the Europa League qualifiers, where they will compete with the Austrian team in the second round.

Great news for fans of Wisła Kraków, but also Kazimierz Moskal, is that Angel Rodado will remain in the club. – I am pleased to inform you today that in fact today – a few dozen minutes ago – we reached an agreement. I am also pleased to announce that Angel Rodado will stay with us until the end of June 2027, with the option of extending it until 2028. I think that this is also the direction of the club in which we want to develop it – said the club's president, Jarosław Królewski, at a press conference on Monday.

Wisła Kraków fans will not be able to buy tickets in the public sale for the match in Vienna

However, before the return match with Rapid Vienna, there was some less positive news for fans who would like to buy tickets for this match in an open sale. It turns out that the Austrian club will not be running such a sale, as it announced in an official statement.

“We would like to inform you that in agreement with local authorities, we have determined that for safety reasons there will be no open sale of tickets for this match,” we read. Tickets will only be available to fans who are members of the club or have purchased a season ticket. Thus, Wisła fans will most likely only sit in the away sector at the stadium in Vienna.

Obviously, the above message outraged Wisła Kraków fans. “Ridiculous”, “a bit embarrassing”, “you want to compete in Europe with this attitude?” – they wrote. What's more, the Austrians did not understand this decision either. “No class”, “what does such distribution have to do with increasing safety? I will never go to a match again” – wrote Austrian fans.

The return match between Wisła Kraków and Rapid Vienna in the second round of the Europa League qualifiers will be played on Thursday, August 1 at 8:30 p.m. We invite you to follow the text coverage of this match on Sport.pl and in our mobile application Sport.pl LIVE.
