The man was escaping from the policemen along the streets of Koszalin (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). The rally ended on the brick stairs to the bank, damaging an unmarked police car at the same time. The circumstances of the incident and the reasons for the man’s behavior are being determined.
According to Commissioner Monika Kosiec from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Koszalin, there was a chase on Thursday around 10:30 in the streets of the city. A passenger Ford driver was running away from the policemen.
He hit an unmarked police car and the bank steps
The man stopped only after a collision with an unmarked police car at the intersection of Zwycięstwa Street with 1 Maja Street – near the Koszalin town hall. The car also crashed into the stairs to a nearby bank. Only then was it possible to stop the driver.
According to Kosiec, activities with the detained man are still ongoing and it is not known why he was escaping from the police and what exactly was the course of events.
Failure to arrest police checks is punishable by five years in prison.
