During the press conference, SpaceX confirmed the translation of the AX-4 mission start from Tuesday to Wednesday. The manager of the Polish mission Ignis Doctor Aleksandra Bukała said that the risk of delay about the next day is currently between 20 and 30 percent.
Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski was to fly into space on Tuesday as part of the AX-4 space mission, but SpaceX announced that the flight would take place not earlier than on Wednesday.
– After the effective end of today's review, we are ready for the AX-4 mission. It will be another mission, after Axiom 3, which took place in January 2023. We will conduct over 40 experiments – informed Dana Weigel from NASA.

The manager of the Polish mission Ignis dr Aleksandra Bukała confirmed that the start would take place on Wednesday at 8am of local time, i.e. at 2pm of Polish time. – The delay results from the weather. Unfortunately, the wind in the higher layers of the atmosphere, where the first and second parts of the rocket will be disconnected, is too strong – she said.

Dr. Aleksandra Bukała emphasized that the wind force prevailing in the upper atmosphere is “beyond the safety limits for the crew and the member, which is to land back”.
Dr. Bukała: We have certification for flight until June 15
– Tomorrow at 10 am (16 Polish time – ed.) There will be another meeting of the weather council – she added.

She said that the risk of delay for the next day is currently between 20 and 30 percent. – We have a flight certification from committees until June 15, but we can ask for extension (certification). We can start calmly until June 22 and this will not affect the mission graphics – she pointed out.
The manager of the Polish Mission Ignis emphasized that at the moment only the weather and refueling can delay the start. – It refuel at the last minute because we refuel the cold fuel, so in these conditions we start refueling several dozen hours before the flight – she explained.
Pole in space – what you need to know
Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski is a Polish scientist, engineer and passionate about space. He comes from Łódź, he is a graduate of the Lodz University of Technology and two French universities: Université de Nantes and Université d'Aix-Marseille. Uznański-Wiśniewski became an astronaut thanks to the recruitment organized by the European Space Agency.
The fact that he worked at the European Organization of Nuclear Research CERN, where he was the operator of the great Hadron collter – the world's largest particle accelerator in the European Nuclear Research Organization on a daily basis.
The mission with the participation of a Pole is a commercial space mission from Axiom Space, organized on the initiative of the Polish government in cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA). The mission uses the Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon space ships belonging to the American company.
Along with the Pole, an American, commandant Peggy Whitson, pilot Shubhanshu Shukla from India and Tibor kapu with a Pole Hungarian. The main goal of the AX-4 mission is to conduct a series of scientific research in the field of engineering, medicine, biology and biotechnology. In total, within about two weeks, the mission is to carry out 60 experiments from as many as 31 countries.
