Over 695,000 Poles came to vote in the second round – it is 211,000 more than in the first round. In addition, there are people who vote on the basis of a certificate of voting.
The Poles went to the election. Not only in the country, but also those who live permanently abroad are abroad at work or on vacation.
At Contact24 we get photos and recordings from around the world. There are a lot of them because 511 peripheral election committees operate abroad. There are over 695,000 people entitled to vote. 211,000 Poles were evidenced by the fact that the interest is of great interest from 20 May.
– Almost 700 people registered in our committee in Vilnius, which is a major increase in relation to the first round, because we had 450 people registered for the first round, today 250 more people. Plus, we have a lot of people who vote on the basis of a certificate of voting right – said Piotr Poźlewicz, chairman of the Electoral Commission in Vilnius.
In Italy 13 committees were opened. The queues were from the very morning. Due to the time difference in the United States, voting has already ended. At 6 o'clock Polish time, the last polling stations were closed on the West Brzeg, among others in San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
In the United States, the elections were held in 57 circuits, in 23 states and in the district Colombia. Over 60,000 people have signed up, which is the current record. Compared to the first round, it is an increase by almost a third.
