Night attacks on Russian military and logistical facilities in Sevastopol in occupied Crimea, on the refinery in the city of Tuapse and on the port in Novorossiysk were carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine and military intelligence, media in Kiev reported.

“That night was very hot for Russian military and logistics facilities in Crimea and on the Russian Black Sea coast. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and military intelligence jointly attacked targets in the Bay of Sevastopol,” said the interlocutor of the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

“Scouts also worked on the seaport in Novorossiysk, and (SBU chief General Vasyl) Maluk's people worked on the oil refinery in Tuapse,” he added.

The Ukraińska Pravda portal, writing about “important targets in Novorossiysk, Sevastopol and Tuapse”, published a map of the attacked places.

“Fireworks show”

The interlocutor of the Interfax-Ukraine agency stated that as a result of the “operation” in the Bay of Sevastopol, where the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet are stationed, “a fireworks display lasted all night long.” The Ukrainians also hit an electrical substation, which led to the shutdown of electricity supplies in Sevastopol.

“There was an explosion in the Novorossiysk seaport near the oil terminal and at the railway station. SBU drones, for the second time this year, attacked the Tuapse oil refinery, which the Russians have started to rebuild,” added the source of the Interfax-Ukraine agency. After the SBU attack on January 25 this year, the refinery stopped operating.

In the opinion of Interfax-Ukraine's source, last night's operation proved that Russia is unable to protect its main naval bases in Sevastopol and Novorossiysk.

“Ships and other vessels of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in their bases, in particular in Sevastopol and Novorossiysk, have become the target of a complex operation using sea and air drones,” said the interlocutor of the Ukraińska Pravda portal.

Ukrainian media reported, based on Russian sources, that the port of Novorossiysk and the oil storage facilities located there were attacked with drones and missiles. At. At 5 a.m. local time, 28 explosions were heard in the city. The authorities banned residents from leaving their homes and canceled classes at educational institutions.

In Tuapse in the Krasnodar Krai, Ukrainian services attacked an oil refinery with drones, which is one of the largest such plants in Russia. A fire broke out there, and residents raised alarms about power outages.

No electricity, classes canceled

In Sevastopol, in the annexed Crimea, there was no electricity, schools were canceled and kindergartens were closed due to the attack. The Russian Ministry of Defense said it shot down 51 drones over the peninsula. The Russians were also supposed to neutralize six Ukrainian naval drones. Russian Telegram channels reported that over a hundred drones were used in the attacks.
