A serious accident occurred in the Tatras on Tuesday morning. While preparing to climb, a tourist fell into a gully. The man suffered injuries to his chest, head, and limbs.
TOPR rescuers transported a mountaineer by helicopter who fell several dozen meters down a rock face in the Kozia Przełęcz area on Tuesday morning, sustaining numerous injuries.
Be careful on the trails
– While preparing to climb, one of the mountaineers in the group fell several dozen meters down a rocky wall into a gully descending from Kozia Przełęcz towards the Pusta Valley. The injured person suffered a number of injuries, including chest, head and fractures – reported the TOPR rescuer.
IN Tatra Mountains There are good tourist conditions, but there is a lot of traffic on the trails. In front of popular peaks, and especially in places equipped with chains, queues form to enter. This is the case, for example, in front of the summit dome of Giewont, on the trails to Rysy and in the area of Orla Perć.
