Sunday was stormy in many parts of the country. A tornado occurred near the town of Grzędzice (West Pomeranian Voivodeship), but fortunately there was no damage. Intense rainfall in Toruń led to flooding.

On Sunday morning they passed through Poland storms. Lightning was accompanied by heavy rainfall, strong winds and hail in many places. Violent phenomena occurred in many regions.

In the afternoon, a tornado formed in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship near the town of Grzędzice (Stargard County).

As told to us by the press officer of the District Commander of the State Fire Service in Stargard, Junior Brig. Paweł Różański, no damage was reported.

Flooded streets and tunnel in Toruń

During the storm that passed over Toruń, several streets and one of the tunnels were flooded. Spokesperson of the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Toruń, senior brig. Małgorzata Jarocka-Krzemkowska informed that firefighters were called to pump water at Czerwona Droga, AK Square, and from the tunnel at Dybowska Street.

Firefighters also pumped out water at the street. Bydgoska in Chełmża.

Hail and heavy rain

Intense hailstorms were recorded on Sunday in Suchedniów (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship) and also near Lidzbark (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship). The lawns turned white as after snowfall.
