New owner of Tatuum announces “significant acceleration”
Paweł Kapłon announces “significant acceleration of development in all sales channels”. “Over 90% of future growth will be accounted for abroad, which also brings the Group a higher margin in all channels. Currently, approx. 30% of revenues come from abroad, half of which from stationary stores and half from online sales” – we read in the announcement. – I am excited about the extraordinary potential that Tatuum has ahead of it – says the new owner.
“Currently, advanced work is underway to implement a new online store, with a new engine and appearance for users, the launch of which is planned for the first quarter of 2025. The next step will be to build a mobile sales application and develop it in Poland and abroad,” the brand says.
The last two years have been a time of problems for clothing companies
A new logistics centre is to be opened in Łódź next year and, as reported by “Fact”The Group is also working on developing the B2B channel. Paweł Kapłon says that he wants Tatuum to become a brand recognized not only in the region, but throughout Europe. – With at least half of the business conducted outside Poland, which in 3-5 years will attract the interest of a large European or global industry investor, noticing the exceptional potential and uniqueness of the brand – he adds. Last year, the company's sales revenues reached almost PLN 330 million, and the operating profit (EBITDA) was set at PLN 35 million.
We recently reported that Esprit, a well-known fashion brand, has declared bankruptcy. 1,300 people are to lose their jobs at the European headquarters. Such decisions are due to, among other things, rising operating costs – inflation, rising energy prices, etc. This is not the only clothing company that has been hit by major problems in the last two years. During this period, numerous large brands have declared bankruptcy, including: Camaieu, Burton of London, Naf Naf and Kookai.
