Tadeusz Łyskawa, after passing the stroke, suffers from paresis of his right hand and legs, as well as aphasia, through which he has difficulties in understanding and saying words. It is no longer fully independent and requires 24 -hour care. For this reason, he had to live in a social care home. “Fakt” informs that his stay in this place is paid for of money for renting his apartment. However, Tadeusz Łyskawa needs more financial resources, which are intended for meetings with a speech therapist and a rehabilitator. However, he cannot count on a pension because he did not pay the minimum number of social security contributions.

The financial situation of Tadeusz Łyskawa is difficult, although fortunately the musician can count on the support of the Polish Music Foundation, which pays part of his treatments. One meeting with a speech therapist costs PLN 130, while rehabilitation – PLN 200. “At the end of last year, the Polish Music Foundation allocated Tadeusz a payment from the Aid Fund, which finances a dozen or so such treatments” – we read on the Foundation's website.

However, the funds are not unlimited, which is why the Polish Music Foundation is collecting money for Tadeusz Łyskawa. “Mr. Tadeusz is rehabilitating all the time. These are expensive meetings. You have to pay for each. We are slowly ending with the funds that we collect for this purpose “ – said the president of the Polish Music Foundation, Tomasz Kopeć. “We are waiting for funds that people transferred from 1.5 percent, settling tax for 2024, but the foundations get it only after the holidays, around October. And by that time, we, as the management of the Foundation, will be wondering at the next meeting, or we can implement any idea to maintain the continuity of this rehabilitation at the best level” – he added.
