Preparations are underway for the construction of the A2 motorway section from the Biała Podlaska junction to the state border with Belarus. The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways selected the most advantageous offer in the tender for the design of the road. The documentation for nearly PLN 10 million is to be prepared by the company Mosty Gdańsk.
The contract with the designer is planned to be signed in the third quarter of this year. As we read in the announcement, the designer’s task will be to prepare a construction design and obtain a permit for a road investment within 30 months from the date of signing the contract.
“The new route, from the Biała Podlaska junction to the state border with Belarus, will have two roadways with two lanes and a reserve for the addition of a third lane” – indicated.
A2 Biała Podlaska to the state border with Belarus – tender
The tender for the design of a 32 km A2 section from the Biała Podlaska junction to the state border (Kukuryki) was announced at the end of December last year. In April, road workers chose the most advantageous offer, however, an appeal was received by the National Appeals Chamber.
In June, the KIO ruled on an appeal against the selection of the best offer. Therefore, the decision on Friday is – as GDDKiA announced – “re-selection of the offer, which is the result of the appeal being decided by the National Appeals Chamber”.
The next stage will be the announcement of a tender for the implementation of the investment.
