Five passenger cars and a truck collided on the A4 motorway near the village of Zimna Wódka (Opolskie Voivodeship). As the policemen initially established, the truck driver ran into the back of one of the cars and “a domino effect” ensued. Two people were injured. The road towards Katowice is blocked.
The services received the notification of the incident before 11 o’clock on Thursday. Cars collided on the A4 motorway towards Katowice. As reported by Sgt. Marta Białek from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Strzelce Opolskie, the preliminary findings of the police show that the 25-year-old truck driver did not exercise due care, drove into the back of a passenger car and “there was a domino effect”.
A total of six vehicles were involved in the event: five passenger cars and a truck. According to Białek, two people were injured and had already been taken to hospital by the ambulance service.
The road is blocked
According to the Poviat Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Strzelce Opolskie, a total of six PSP and Volunteer Fire Brigade teams were ordered to take the place.
The road towards Katowice is blocked. The difficulties are to last several hours.
