Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus spoke on TVN24 about the voting in the Sejm Presidium regarding the deadline for processing abortion bills. She said that the motion to hold a debate was defeated by the votes of Szymon Hołownia, Piotr Zgorzelski and Krzysztof Bosak.

Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia informedthat the abortion projects will be processed “right after the first round of local government elections”, i.e. in over a month – on April 11. This decision was to be made by the Presidium of the Sejm. Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus, an MP from the Left, talked about the behind-the-scenes on Wednesday in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego”.

As she said, deputy speaker of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty “he submitted a motion to the Sejm presidium for a vote yesterday to hold this debate (on abortion projects – ed.).” – In the voices of Szymon Hołownia, Piotr Zgorzelski and the Confederation (Krzysztof Bosak – ed.) this application was lost, she said.

– We saw the real face of Szymon Hołownia, PSLthe entire Third Way, who stand shoulder to shoulder with the Confederation – said the MP.

She added that she “does not accept Szymon Hołownia and this decision.” – Four months have passed since the left introduced two bills liberalizing abortion rights to the Sejm. There was an opportunity to talk about it for four months. Szymon Hołownia did not want to do it. Marshal Czarzasty was right when he said that Szymon Hołownia was blocking the debate on this topic, which he showed yesterday at the presidium – said Scheuring-Wielgus.
