We often talk in our camp about who should be our presidential candidate. I encourage you to be patient. Truly, you will be pleasantly surprised – said PiS MP Marcin Przydacz in “Fakty po Faktach” when asked about reports that his candidacy is being considered in the context of next year's elections. MEP Krzysztof ƚmiszek commented on TVN24 on reports about changes in his party – the New Left.

On Thursday, “Newsweek” wrote that an MP is emerging as the favorite of Law and Justice as a “second-ranking presidential candidate” Marcin Przydaczformer deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and former minister in the president's office.

Przydacz was asked about these reports in the Friday edition of “Fakty po Faktach”. – I read this article. I don't know the source of this information. I am very glad that the newspaper appreciates my role and political activities so far. The candidate will be selected by the leadership of the Law and Justice camp, he said.

The TVN24 guest was asked whether he had talked about it with the president JarosƂaw KaczyƄski. – I talk very often with President KaczyƄski, President Duda, and Deputy Prime Minister BƂaszczak. These are partners for talking about politics in Poland. I try to talk to everyone, he said.

Przydacz was asked whether he met the criteria presented by the president PIS. – He must be young, tall, impressive, handsome. Voters place these image requirements high. He must have a family. Must know English very well. It would be best if he knew two languages - said JarosƂaw KaczyƄski when asked about the ideal candidate in August on Radio Maryja.

– The criteria discussed here will, of course, be partly important in the next election race, but I am convinced that competences and experience, including international ones, will also count. Voters will judge this when a candidate appears, he said.

– Honestly, we often talk in our PiS camp and club about who should be our candidate, what conditions would have to be met, and how to win these elections. I am convinced that we will win it, but I encourage you to be patient. Truly, you will be pleasantly surprised, added Przydacz.

As PAP found out, they are to be the Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski. Currently, the party is co-chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm WƂodzimierz Czarzasty and MEP Robert BiedroƄ.

– I confirm that the national management board was held today and we have started work on the new statute. We want to consolidate the party, ƚmiszek said on TVN24. – Everything is in the hands of several dozen thousand members of the New Left, who will elect power next year. We are an open, democratic party, he added.

– I believe that each of the almost 30,000 members of the New Left has the right to run for chairwoman, chairman, co-chairman and fight for what is important – said the former deputy head of the Ministry of Justice.

– And does WƂodzimierz Czarzasty have the right to rest? – Anita Werner asked.

– Everyone has the right to rest and everyone has the right to run for office. I wish everyone the courage to lead such a serious party as… New Left – replied ƚmiszek.
