Social Insurance Institution established that payment pensions are made on the 1st, 5th, 6th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th of each month. However, according to the regulations, if one of these days falls on a holiday or a weekend off, retirees are entitled to receive the money earlier. Two pensions in December? Some seniors can count on this
Although most beneficiaries will receive their December payments on the scheduled date and before Christmas, faster pensions will go to people who should receive them on the 1st, 15th and 25th of the month – the first two dates fall on Sunday, which means transfers will be made before the weekend, and retirees who normally receive payments on the 25th will receive them on December 22, just before the holidays.
The option of receiving two pensions will apply to seniors receiving the benefit on the 1st day of the month. Due to the fact that January 1 is a statutory holiday, payments will be transferred to their accounts by the end of December. Importantly, an accelerated transfer will result in not receiving further money in the first month new year. The next regular pension will be distributed to recipients on February 1.
Confusion around transfers already occurred in November
Seniors also experienced a change in the date of receiving their pension at the beginning of November. People who should have received the 1st transfer – on All Saints' Day – could also rejoice money at the end of October. Beneficiaries from the 10th also benefited from accelerated payment due to the fact that this day fell on a Sunday in November.
