The fate of the act in the Tribunal is uncertain, because it is pending there conflict over the term of office of president Julia Przyłębska. – Mr. President had previously expressed his doubts about some provisions of the act, which constituted a compromise with the European Commission and the European Union. The head of the government recalled that he voted for the bill, “similarly to the entire parliamentary majority”, but – as he stated – “the final decision, the irrevocable decision, will be made when the judgment is adopted by the Constitutional Tribunal.” – These are the normal rules of the political system in Poland and I don’t see anything special here – he said.

Morawiecki expressed “absolute certainty” that funds from the National Reconstruction Plan would go to Poland. “They will come later this year, probably in the first half, if it can be completed legislative process. If not, then in the second half.

When asked if situation in the Constitutional Court will not delay the case, the Prime Minister replied: – I have no doubts that the Tribunal is a fully steerable institution, under proper direction and leadership, and it is not my prerogative to decide the duration of such an important case. These are questions that should be directed to the Tribunal, of course, but I am convinced that the Constitutional Tribunal will make the right decisions at the right time.
