From January 1, people over 100 years of age will be entitled to an honorary benefit in the amount of PLN 6,246.13 gross per month, which will be indexed every year – according to the act signed by President Andrzej Duda.
She announced the signing of the act on the honorary benefit for turning 100 years of age on Thursday Chancellery of the President.
The act is intended to replace the current non-statutory mechanism for granting honorary benefits. Now it is granted by the president of the Social Insurance Institution pursuant to the decision of the Prime Minister of 1972 and treated as the so-called benefits by way of exception.

An allowance for 100-year-olds
In accordance with the Act, height benefits will amount to PLN 6,246.13 gross per month and it will be indexed annually, starting from March 1, 2025. The indexation is to take place in March, on the same principles as in the case of indexation pensions and pensions
In the case of people who are not entitled to a pension or disability pension paid by the pension authorities, the right to an honorary benefit will be granted upon request.
Persons with Polish citizenship will be entitled to the benefit. New the regulations will come into force on January 1, 2025.
According to the latest data ZUS3,300 people currently receive the honorary benefit.
