The Central Investigation Bureau of the Police in Lublin detained two men and seized 80 kilograms of marijuana worth over three million zlotys. According to investigators, the broken group distributed drugs in the following provinces: Śląskie, Lubelskie and Mazowieckie, especially in Warsaw.
According to the CBŚP spokeswoman Iwona Jurkiewicz, during the action two men were arrested who were charged with drug-related crime in the Lublin Branch of the National Prosecutor’s Office.
Courier stopped on the way
The findings of the Central Bureau of Investigation in Lublin showed that people associated with hooligans of one of the Silesian sports clubs deal in drugs on a large scale. – Last week, CBŚP policemen struck a gang. The action began with a courier stopping on the route from Warsaw to Katowice. The truck driver was carrying over 20 kilograms of marijuana in the vehicle. The drugs were hidden in the luggage compartment. Packed in plastic bags, the dried fruit was contained in two travel bags – Iwona Jurkiewicz said.
She added that in Warsaw, policemen entered a flat, in which there were cartons filled with hermetically packed drug bags. – Over 58 kilos of marijuana secured. The second suspect was arrested on one of the streets in the Silesian Voivodeship. According to the information from the police officers, the man might be planning to leave the country, so the actions were carried out quickly – described the spokeswoman.
Men temporarily arrested
Both detainees were brought to the Lublin Branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Public Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin, where they were charged with the possession and participation in the trade of large amounts of intoxicants.
– On the basis of the collected evidence, both suspects were temporarily arrested for three months. The case is developmental and further arrests are possible – summed up the CBŚP spokeswoman.
