David Schwimmer, who became famous for his role as Ross in the series “Friends”, said that in his youth he worked as a process server. One of his orders was to serve divorce papers to a popular singer.
In Monday's episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” broadcast on the American station CBS, actor David Schwimmer talked about what he did in his youth before he gained fame in the series “Friends”. He revealed that he worked, among other things, as a roller-skating waiter in a retro-style restaurant in Chicago. He also helped his mother, Arlene, a divorce lawyer. He worked for her as a deliverer and was responsible for, among other things, serving procedural documents. – I would be the guy who jumped out of the bushes and handed you divorce papers – he said to Stephan Colbert in the program.
The actor delivered divorce papers to Rod Stewart
The actor also revealed that he once delivered divorce papers to music star Rod Stewart. – Thank God I've never seen him since. I don't even know if he realizes (who provided him with the divorce papers – ed.). I don't think so, Schwimmer said. The host of the program, Stephen Colbert, replied that the star “knows it now” and advised his interlocutor to “change the locks” because Rod “is vindictive.”
Schwimmer did not reveal which of Stewart's divorces he provided him with the documents. However, CNN reports that it is most likely about the rockman's separation from his first wife, Alana Stewart, which occurred in 1984. In 1990, the musician married Rachel Hunter, from whom he broke up in 2006, and since 2007 he has been married to Penny Lancaster.
