British star Julian Sands has not been seen in days after embarking on a hike on Southern California’s Mt. Baldy.
The actor, 65, was reported as lacking on Jan. 13, a spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Division, Mara Rodriguez, confirmed to NBC News. Although search efforts started shortly thereafter, crews had been compelled to pause briefly as a result of extreme climate circumstances within the space.
Rodriguez advised NBC Information that rescue crews will proceed to scan the realm utilizing aerial strategies when the climate enable them to take action and can schedule one other floor search when permitted.
A public service advisory issued on Jan. 18 warned hikers of the realm’s circumstances, noting that “as a result of excessive winds, the snow has turned to ice making climbing extraordinarily harmful,” and that search and rescue efforts are “usually hampered by poor climate together with harmful avalanche circumstances.”
