I am still considering creating a special investigative team in the prosecutor's office regarding the activities of Antoni Macierewicz, but the scale of these allegations is very serious – said Adam Bodnar, Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General, in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24.

General Jarosław Stróżyk, head of the Military Counterintelligence Service and chairman of the commission for investigating Russian and Belarusian influence presented the results of the commission's work at the conference on Wednesday. He announced that he would submit an application to the prosecutor's office regarding the possibility of diplomatic treason committed by the former head of the Ministry of National Defense, Antoni Macierewicz.

He referred not only to the findings of General Stróżyk's commission, but also to the fact that 41 notifications regarding the Smolensk subcommittee had been submitted to the National Prosecutor's Office, 24 of which concern Antoni Macierewicz and 10 of former Minister of Defense Mariusz Błaszczak. This is the result of the work of the team that assessed functioning of this subcommittee.

The prosecutor's office received 41 notifications regarding the Smolensk subcommittee

– The prosecutor's office already has a lot of work, because there is one proceeding conducted by the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, which concerns hiding evidence and failure to return evidence that was transferred to the Smolensk subcommittee. Despite many attempts, the prosecutor's office failed to recover this evidence, he said.

– And now we have over 40 new notifications that will be sent by the committee chaired by the minister. Cezary Tomczyk. I think that all this will necessitate the creation of a new investigative team in the prosecutor's office, he continued.

– I'm still thinking about it, I haven't made a final decision yet, but the enormity of these allegations is very serious – said Bodnar.
