A terrorist attack took place in the vicinity of the Kabul airport on Thursday. The final death toll of the bombers has not yet been determined, but the latest reports say that at least 95 Afghans and 13 US soldiers have been killed. These are the next victims of the conflict that has been dragging on for two decades in this country. Since the beginning of this year alone, over 3,500 people, Afghan civilians and security forces have died.
The American newspaper “New York Times” has collected data on the death toll of the war in Afghanistan. More than 1,000 civilians and nearly 2,500 Afghan security officials have died since the beginning of this year, according to a report published by the New York newspaper.
IN July that year, the month before the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, were killed at least 335 Afghan soldiers and 189 civilians.
IN june years as a result of the conflict in Afghanistan, were killed at least 208 civilians and 703 security officers – most since September 2018, when the New York Times began reporting the death toll in the conflict in Afghanistan.
IN May in Afghanistan, to say the least 405 officials of government forces, and 260 civilians. 665 fatalities were then the highest monthly balance since July 2019.
IN April the war in Afghanistan claimed at least 390 deaths – 301 Afghan soldiers and 89 civilians.
At least 259 officers of the security forces, and 124 civilians were killed in Afghanistan in March 2021.
IN february in Afghanistan, to say the least, were killed 257 Afghan uniformed and 66 civilians.
IN January this year it was killed at least 239 officials of government forces, and 77 civilians.
In total, more than 66,000 officers of the Afghan security forces and nearly 50,000 civilians have died since the beginning of the war in Afghanistan in 2001.
