After the death of Alexei Navalny, Russian investigators appeared in the Polar Wolf penal colony and took away all the objects that the deceased oppositionist could have touched, including snow from the yard, the independent organization Dossier Center reported. “These actions may indicate that law enforcement authorities tried to remove all objects that could theoretically contain traces of a poisonous substance,” the publication said.

After the death of Alexei Navalny, investigators arrived at the Polar Wolf penal colony and removed all objects with which the oppositionist had any contact – writes the independent organization Dossier Center, founded by a well-known oppositionist and critic of the Kremlin Mikhail Khodorkovsky.

There are 75 items on the list: including: Navalny's personal belongings, including his clothes and underwear, books, towels, bedding and mattress, toilet paper, food, vomit, fragments of nails, hair, and even snow samples from the yard where the oppositionist was staying before he felt unwell. Traces of a poisonous substance

“The full list of confiscated items suggests that not a single thing that Navalny touched remains in the Wilk penal colony in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Investigators even took a roll of toilet paper. Moreover, only 31 items on the list mention the sending of the material to research. It is not known whether other items, including clothing and underwear, were handed over to the experts,” the Dossier Center emphasized. It noted that no results of the examination of the stolen items that were sent to the forensic examination center had been published.

“The investigators' actions may indicate that law enforcement agencies tried to take away all items that could theoretically contain traces of a poisonous substance,” the publication said.
