The chairman of the National Trade Union of Nurses and Midwives Krystyna Ptok commented in “One for One” on TVN24 on the agreement signed by the Minister of Health, Adam Niedzielski, with medics. She called it a “misunderstanding” and noted that it had been entered into with a limited representation of the medical profession.
Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski after meeting with the Tripartite Team for Healthcare, he informed that an agreement had been reached between representatives of medical professions and employers. The meeting was not attended by representatives of the protest committee from the white town. “The protest is not over,” said his spokesman Gilbert Kolbe.
Ptok: the agreement is once again signed with the restricted representation
The agreement on TVN24 on Saturday in “One for One” commented the President of the National Trade Union of Nurses and Midwives Krystyna Ptok. She noted that the white town was still going on. She admitted that the signed agreement was a “misunderstanding”.
– This agreement is once again signed with a limited representation of medical workers. The protest and strike committee is made up of all trade unions in the health care industry. Trade Unions Forum, which is the largest medical industry. Neither Solidarność nor the OPZZ has such an industry, she explained.
– Secondly, we have a situation where these organizations had already signed an agreement with the minister, which we also called a misunderstanding, because on July 1 a law came into force that divided health care workers and caused inequalities – she added.
She emphasized that there would be no such agreement if it were not for “the protest of 40,000 people who went under the slogan of changing the bad law on remuneration”. She said that the protest and strike committee had foreseen “a situation in which the health minister, after a disagreement with us, would go over to a tripartite team with favorable trade unions.” – It is as if Minister Niedzielski signed the agreement with himself again – she assessed.
