Brigitte Bardot is devastated by the death of Alain Delon, the famous actress' foundation wrote in a statement. “Their friendship, which stemmed from a shared love for animals and commitment to their well-being, was precious and sincere,” it added.
The animal rights foundation founded by Bardot issued a statement saying it was saddened to learn of the death of Delon, an “unforgettable artist and great friend of animals” who generously supported the foundation. The organization added that it had lost “a dear friend and a man of great heart.”

“Alain was also a close friend of our CEO Brigitte Bardot, who is devastated by his passing. Their friendship, which stemmed from a shared love for animals and commitment to their welfare, was precious and sincere,” the statement read.

The son of another famous French actor, Jean-Paul Belmondo, also expressed his sorrow over the star's departure on social media.
“You once told me that you miss my father. Now we will miss you very much,” wrote Paul Belmondo, attaching a photo from the joint film of the two great actors – “Borsalino”.
