Reuters Agency announces new details of the tragedy on the set of “Rust” in which cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died – it is known that she was shot with a .45-caliber Colt revolver. Hannah Gutierrez, responsible for the gun on the set, testified that she checked the gun but found no live ammunition. Assistant director Dave Halls admitted that he “should check all” cartridges in the gun before handing them over to actor Alec Baldwin.

Hannah Gutierrez, in charge of the guns on the set, told investigators that she had checked the revolver prior to the tragic incident, but found no live ammunition.

In turn, assistant director Dave Halls told investigators that he “should check all” the cartridges before handing the gun over to Baldwin, but he didn’t. Officers previously reported that the actor believed he had received a “cold”, safe weapon from Halls.

On October 21, a tragedy occurred on the set of the western “Rust”. Actor Alec Baldwin fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured film director Joel Souza, who had to be hospitalized. According to preliminary police findings, an accident occurred on the set of Bonanza Creek Ranch in New Mexico, USA. Work on the film has been suspended.
