The passenger train stopped in front of the station in Aleksandrów Kujawski (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship). The driver managed to brake the train in time. It turned out that a drunk man was stuck on the tracks and one of the drivers noticed it. Nothing happened to anyone. We received the information on Kontakt24.

According to the woman who gave us this information, on Wednesday around 2:15 p.m. the car driver noticed a man on the railway tracks in the place where the train was approaching. The driver waved his arms and caught the attention of the driver, who managed to stop the train. The police and an ambulance were called to the scene.

We asked the police about the incident. – Today, around 2:15 p.m., we received a call to Wojska Polskiego Street, where the train actually stopped due to a man lying on the tracks. After arriving at the scene, the officers determined that he was a 37-year-old man who was intoxicated – explained senior trainee Marta Białkowska-Błachowicz, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Aleksandrów Kujawski.

The man will be punished

– The train was stopped for about 10 minutes and then continued its journey. There were no injuries in the incident. The 37-year-old was handed over to the care of his family. In connection with this incident, an application will also be submitted to the court to punish him, she added. In this matter, we also contacted Maciej Dudkiewicz, press spokesman PKP Intercity, which reported that the situation was not noticed by them as a traffic disruption. – It is possible that due to the short stop, there was no need to report the situation, because there was no significant delay in the schedule or difficulties in the movement of our trains – he explained.
