Government Security Center informed that the 2nd degree BRAVO and 2nd degree BRAVO-CRP alert levels have been extended until 30 November this year for the entire country and the 2nd degree BRAVO for Polish energy infrastructure outside borders our country. What do they mean?
Three alert levels for longer in Poland. Prime Minister's decision
“Alert levels are primarily a signal for the services to be ready to act,” the announcement emphasized. The decision on them was signed by the Prime Minister Donald Tusk. As also reported on the government website:
- BRAVO-CRP (2nd level of threat) – applies throughout the country – in connection with Order No. 93 of August 30, 2024.
- BRAVO (2nd level of threat) – applies throughout the country – in connection with Order 94 of August 30, 2024.
- BRAVO (2nd level of threat) towards Polish energy infrastructure located outside the borders of the Republic of Poland – in force in connection with Order 92 of August 30, 2024.
The current levels are not the highest on the alert scale.
BRAVO-CRP is the second of four alert levels. Its introduction means that public administration is obliged to conduct increased security control of teleinformatic systems.
The BRAVO alert level – also the second on a four-point scale – is introduced in the event of an increased and foreseeable threat of a terrorist incident. The services then have information about a possible threat, and in connection with this, the public administration is obliged to maintain particular vigilance.
