The supervisory board of Alior Bank entrusted Grzegorz Olszewski with managing the work of the bank’s management board until the approval of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority for his appointment as president is obtained, said Alior Bank in a press release.

The supervisory board of Alior Bank appointed to the bank’s management board, apart from Grzegorz Olszewski, also Rafał Litwińczuk, Marek Majsak and Paweł Tymczyszyn.

Agata Strzelecka, Seweryn Kowalczyk and Dariusz Szwed resigned from the positions of vice-presidents of Alior Bank.

In mid-October, Iwona Duda, President of Alior Bank, resigned with effect on October 22. Duda went to PKO BP. The supervisory board appointed her to the position of vice president of the bank and entrusted her with managing the work of the management board as of October 23.

The supervisory board of Alior Bank entrusted vice-president Maciej Brzozowski with managing the work of the management board in the period from 23 October until the appointment of a person indicated by the board as president.

As we read on the Alior Bank website, Grzegorz Olszewski graduated from: the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, where he completed the Executive MBA program; Lazarski University, where he graduated in Economics; Wyższa Szkoła Zarządzania / Polish Open University (currently Akademia Finansów i Biznesu Vistula in Warsaw) in the field of Financial Management; Bachelor of Arts (BA), Finance, from Oxford Brookes University.

Olszewski is also an academic lecturer.

In the years 2019-2020 he worked at Bank Pekao SA, where he was a member of the management board and then the vice-president of the management board, responsible, among others, for the area of ​​IT, brokerage services, bancassurance and digital transformation.

In 2007-2010 he worked at Bank Millennium in the area of ​​retail banking.
