The Polish national team was relegated from the A division of the Nations League. Here's how the competition in the B division went

The situation in groups B2 and B3 was already clear, with England and Norway taking first place and, consequently, direct promotion. Greece and Austria can join them, provided they manage to win the promotion play-offs (among their potential rivals will be the Scots). And what happened in groups 1 and 4?

In the first of them, the situation was extremely interesting, because before the last round, only three points separated the leading Czechs and the last Ukrainians, and Georgia, second, and Albania, third, had 7 points each. The competition for promotion and avoiding relegation was exciting – the Czech Republic emerged victorious, beating Georgia 2-1 and maintaining the lead in the table. And the biggest losers are the Albanians, who, after a 1-2 defeat against the Ukrainians, say goodbye to the elite team.

In group 4, they fought a correspondence duel for promotion Türkiye and Wales. The former were in a privileged situation, as their achievements were 11 points compared to 9 points for the Islanders. Quarterfinalists though Euro 2024 absolutely sensationally lost 1:3 with Montenegro, which scored the first points and honorably said goodbye to the B division, and also did a favor to Wales. They defeated Iceland 4-1 and return to the A division – there they will be beaten by the Polish national team, which “pushed them” out of the elite in the previous edition.
