The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate announced Wednesday that certain lots of allspice were recalled due to the detection of salmonella bacteria. If the product is consumed without proper thermal treatment, there is a risk of food poisoning.
As part of the public warning regarding food, GIS announced that it had been informed about the LEVANT Foods Sp. z o. o., Branch in Września, ul. Przemysłowa 5b, the withdrawal of its three brands of allspice due to the use of raw material contaminated with Salmonella in their production.
Allspice discontinued product
It is a product of VITPOL Ziele Angielskie, batch number: 19117/991, use date: 08.2023. The warning also applies to the product RUSTICA Ziele English, lot number 23517/99, expiry date 08.2023. The product PORTLAND Ziele English, batch number 23517991 and expiry date 08.2023, is also subject to recall.
If the product is consumed without proper thermal treatment, there is a risk of food poisoning.
The bodies of the State Sanitary Inspection are monitoring the process of withdrawing the questioned parties.
