Amazon CEO reportedly informed distant workers: ‘It’s most likely not going to work out’

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy has a message to workers who don’t need to return to the workplace: “It’s not going to work out for you.” That’s in line with a report from Insider, which says Jassy made that assertion throughout a gathering earlier this month.

That clearly hasn’t modified Amazon’s place on the matter. In a recording of the assembly obtained by Insider, Jassy informed staff, “It’s previous the time to disagree and commit,” including that “for those who can’t disagree and commit… it’s most likely not going to work out for you at Amazon as a result of we’re going again to the workplace at the least three days every week.”

Jassy reportedly mentioned his choice to have workers return to the workplace was a “judgment name” and that workers can go away in the event that they don’t need to comply. “It’s not proper for all of our teammates to be in three days every week and for folks to refuse to take action,” Jassy acknowledged. The Verge reached out to Amazon with a request for remark however didn’t instantly hear again.
