The first flyby of the Falcon 9 rocket could be observed in the night sky after 10 p.m., while during the second flyby before midnight, the moment of engine ignition was visible before the planned deorbit.
Polish satellite in orbit. EagleEye will observe Earth
EagleEye is, according to its designers, the most technologically advanced and largest Polish satellite. It was developed by an industrial and scientific consortium consisting of Creotech, Scanway and the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The EagleEye mission operator is also Exolaunch GmbH, a partner serving SpaceX, which belongs to Elon Musk. The satellite weighs about 55 kg and its dimensions after the solar panels are unfolded are: 55 cm x 150 cm x 90 cm.
Polish The satellite is to observe the Earth with very high resolution. “Designing and building a satellite of this size in Poland required unique skills and experience. We manage a mission that is of great importance for the entire domestic space sector. We open the door for domestic entities to the rapidly growing and profitable market of designing, building, integrating and launching small satellites into Earth orbit. It is a great honor and at the same time a responsibility,” emphasized Marcin Mazur, EagleEye project manager, quoted on the EagleEye mission website.
