The State Labor Inspectorate has new powers. It is to act like a tax office or police
The head of the ministry said that the National Labor Inspectorate needs to be strengthened. She noted that the National Labor Inspectorate should have greater powers, act like the Tax Office in matters of taxes or Police regarding crimes.
When dishonest employers compete dishonestly with honest ones, violating employee rights, the State Labor Inspectorate must be able to respond effectively, enforce compliance with employee rights and protect honest employers and employees from violations

The head of the Ministry of Family emphasized that penalties should be inevitable, severe and effective. She pointed out that today they are neither severe nor effective, because dishonest employers include them in costs. Therefore, one of the solutions is to increase penalties. The minister also pointed to the need to increase the powers so that inspectors can influence employment contracts with an administrative decision. The Minister of Family predicts that the draft law on changes in the State Labor Inspectorate will be ready within a few months. Recently, the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy also announced that prepares new regulations on working in hot weather. They are being co-created, among others, in cooperation with the National Labor Inspectorate. They are to be in force from next year's summer season.
