“I am absolutely devastated to announce that my eldest son Nick is seriously ill. As my friends and family know, he has been battling stomach cancer for 18 months and is currently hospitalized,” Lloyd Webber said in a statement, quoted by Sky News.

He added that, as a result, he was unable to attend the recent previews of the Broadway musical “Bad Cinderella”, for which he composed the music, and will not appear at the premiere. “We are all praying that Nick will feel better.
