A teenager who went missing on Tuesday in Andrychów (Lesser Poland Voivodeship) has died. The girl was found in the city center the same day. Chilled and weak, she was taken to hospital. According to local media, she sat in front of a large store for several hours before she was helped.
The local portal wadowice24.pl reported that the police received a report of the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl from Andrychów on Tuesday. The girl was supposed to go to nearby Kęty. In the morning she called her father that she felt bad and didn’t know where she was. The parent reported the matter to the police, who published a message about the search for the child in the early afternoon. Shortly afterwards, the teenager was found.
The portal reports that she was in the same place, right next to the city’s main road, for at least several hours, but no passers-by noticed that she might need help. “The teenager sat at one of the stores in Andrychów for several hours. Only one of the residents was interested in her fate. He moved her to a warm store,” the portal reported.
The teenager died in hospital
An ambulance was called and the girl was transported to the hospital. The 14-year-old was very cold. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save the child’s life.
At 8 p.m., Assistant Commissioner Barbara Szczerba from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Krakow confirmed the death of the 14-year-old. – I confirm that the girl has died. We are not providing any further information on this matter at this time, she said. She added that the case was being handled by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Wadowice.
