President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk congratulated tennis player Iga Świątek on her bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Paris. “Bravo! Thank you!” Duda said on platform X. “We love you, Iga!” Tusk wrote.
“Another bronze medal for Poland in Paris! Iga Świątek is the first Polish woman in history to win an Olympic medal in tennis! Bravo! Thank you!” – wrote the president, emphasizing in the post that the match lasted “only 60 minutes” and ended with the score 6:2, 6:1.
In the match for third place, Świątek defeated the Slovak tennis player Anna Karolina Schmiedlova. This is the fourth medal for Poland in the capital France.
The Polish prime minister also commented on the Polish woman's victory in a short post on the X platform. Donald Tuskwho wrote: “We love you, Iga.”
