Former president Czech Milos Zeman he turned 80. On Saturday in Deeply they Vltava near Ceske Budejovice he organized a birthday party to which he invited numerous European politicians. They appeared, among others: president Slovakia Peter Pellegrini and the country's prime minister Robert Ficopresident Serbia Aleksandar Vuczic or prime minister Hungarian Viktor Orban. The president was also among the guests Andrzej Dudawho went there by government plane.

The event was also attended by, among others: former prime minister Andrej Babiszformer president of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus or members of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia. However, the current Czech Prime Minister did not receive the invitation Peter Fiala.
During the part available to the media, Zeman thanked the guests for coming. He said about international leaders that they were his “true friends”, not “political friends”. The former president also talked about individual guests. At some point he decided to mention Andrzej Duda.
– President Polish Andrzej Duda. Where is he? – Zeman asked. The Polish president was sitting right next to him.
– Next to you – said someone from the room. A difficult situation has arisen.
Eventually, Zeman laughed and he put his hand on Duda's shoulder. The President of Poland stood up and greeted those gathered in the hall.
Radosław Sikorski: The visit was consulted
After the president's visit to the Czech Republic, there were voices that the Chancellery of the President had not informed anyone about Duda's visit to Zeman. There were also opinions that politicians believed to be gathered in Hluboka controversial and pro-Russian. The invitees included, among others: leader of the pro-Russian PRO movement Jirzi Rajchl.
– This visit was consulted with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we advised against it. I would advise the president to choose a different choice of friends – yes, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski commented on TOK FM on Andrzej Duda's participation in the event of the former Czech president.
Sikorski assessed that this visit had already made a bad impression in Poland. – I think the president is already regretting it, it probably doesn't build his authority. W United States Mr. President cared about and pursued the interests of the fighting forces Ukrainyand here he meets people who have different opinions – said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Sikorski's words were confirmed on Monday in “Graffiti” by the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
– The Ministry of Foreign Affairs twice suggested to Andrzej Duda not to appear at Milosz Zeman's birthday. I wouldn't sit at a birthday table with Viktor Orban – he said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski on Polsat News.

An MEP was also interested in the issue of President Duda's participation in Milosz Zeman's event Civic Coalition Krzysztof Brejza. In the letter published by the MEP, questions are asked about why the Chancellery of President Andrzej Duda is silent about this visit, as well as what topics were discussed during the meeting.
