“It is clear that it is impossible to cooperate economically with such a Russia, any honest state that wants peace and observance of the world order based on international law cannot accept it,” the president said.

– We do not accept it, that’s why we are together, that’s why the North Atlantic Alliance and European Union They showed unity in the face of this aggression, which for me, as a direct neighbor of Ukraine, the president of the Republic of Poland, is an extremely important issue – he stressed.

Andrzej Duda said that “without the support of the Western community, democratic states, Ukraine will fall, it will be conquered by Russia, it will be defeated by Russia and there will be no peace in the world.” “I have no doubts that Russia will not stop in Ukraine,” he added.

He stated that “therefore, there is no other choice but to support Ukraine with all our might.” – I thank both the Chancellor and the President for this support, because it is provided both from Germany and France. We need even more support from the West, we need even stronger ties, also within the transatlantic community, said President Duda.

Duda: Only close cooperation between the US and Europe can guarantee Europe’s security

– The time we entered on February 24 last year clearly showed that only close cooperation between Europe and the United States, between European democracies, the European Union and the United States, can guarantee Europe’s security – said Andrzej Duda. He emphasized that cooperation is essential and he is pleased that “at the moment we are implementing it in such a decisive way”.

He reminded me that next week US President Joe Biden will visit Polandwhich “is proof of these strengthening ties, as well as proof of our common support for Ukraine within the North Atlantic Alliance.”

– Today we will discuss our joint activities in this area and what else we can undertake. (…) This is an important moment when we are together here in Munich, during the conference on security, when we show European unity, unity within NATO, our cooperation, which will dynamically contribute to building an area of security and peace in Europe – added.

The president stressed that “Ukraine, thanks to our support, must win, peace must return, observance of international law must return, and this means that Russia must be driven out of the occupied territories in Ukraine.” “This can only happen if we support Ukraine, and that is our most important task today,” Duda said.

Macron: From the very first day of the war, we showed how Europe was effective in helping Ukraine

Emmanuel Macron confirmed that the topic of talks with the President of Poland and the Chancellor of Germany will be e.g. economic, military and humanitarian support for Ukraine. – From the first day we showed it to everyone in Europe that we are very effective in this area. That’s why it’s important today to take a look at everything we’re going to do over the coming weeks and months. It is a discussion on both geopolitical and military issues, he said.

He declared that “we cannot stop helping in this war.” “We introduced the sanctions, we reacted quickly, we coordinate our actions and we are unanimous,” Macron assured.

The French president stressed that when talking about justice, “we must refer to war crimes”. “That’s another topic of today’s discussion,” he announced.

– We will also talk about the arms industry and military aid, because we all want to defend Europe. We believe in defense that contributes to strengthening NATO structures. That is why we have made intensive investments within our Alliance, said Macron.

Scholz: The Weimar Triangle has a rich tradition, and we want to continue it

– In recent weeks and months, we have all done everything we could to enable Ukraine to defend itself, to enable it to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity – said Olaf Scholz. He also emphasized the importance of cooperation within NATO and the European Union.

– Our three countries cooperate very well for these purposes, this is the Weimar Triangle, and our meeting takes place on the occasion of the Munich Security Conference – stressed Scholz. – The Weimar Triangle has rich traditions, we want to continue them today and not only today – he assured.
