He referred to Andrzej Duda's condolences after the death of the President of Iran and in which he referred to the Smolensk disaster. Presidential Minister Andrzej Dera was asked in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 about Andrzej Duda's condolences offered to the Iranians after their president died in a plane crash. “Poles, who experienced the crash of the Polish plane in Smolensk, know the feeling of shock and emptiness that remains in people's hearts and in the country after the sudden loss of the political elite,” wrote the president.

Ebrahim Raisi was a hard-line Islamic cleric and official associated with the Iranian justice system for most of his life. He had ultra-conservative political views. Many Iranians and defenders human rights accused him of participating in mass executions of political prisoners in the 1980s.

Dera was asked whether the president should have compared the crash of Raisi's helicopter with… Smolensk disaster. In response, he quoted the content of the entry published by Duda and asked: – What is inappropriate here?
