Deputy Minister Anna Kornecka, asked by TVN24 about the reasons for her resignation, said that the “real reason” is opposing “tax increases”. – Probably everyone is able to draw conclusions from what happened – she added.
– I think it is obvious to everyone. It turns out that in the government of the United Right there is no room for any opinions expressed in relation to the projects that are presented – said Anna Kornecka, the dismissed Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology, in an interview with TVN24. – I stand firmly on the side of Polish entrepreneurs and oppose tax increases. I think this is the real reason for my resignation – she emphasized when asked about this matter.
On Wednesday, government spokesman Piotr Mueller said that the prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki decided to dismiss Anna Kornecka from the function of Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology. Earlier, Mueller referred to Kornecka’s statement, which on Tuesday on TVN24 criticized the tax solutions proposed in the Polish Lada. As the deputy minister said, the Agreement “very clearly sets the limits and opposes such a sharp increase in taxes”.

Asked whether saying “in plain text that something is not liked among the ruling coalition and the resignation several hours later, could mean that this is a kind of threat to the entire formation”, the deputy minister replied that “probably everyone is able to pull self conclusions from what happened “. – For many months we have been signaling that the proposed solutions are disturbing to us. We proposed many solutions for many weeks. Apart from the lump sum for entrepreneurs, none of them were really accepted. I expressed it in my opinion, and this, in turn, resulted in such and no other reaction of the prime minister – she added.

Asked whether she is satisfied with her work, achievements and progress in implementing the Polish Deal in the field of housing, she stated. – I think that everyone who worked with me, who saw the ministry’s work in the construction, housing or spatial planning reform department, saw how hard we work and what are the effects and progress of our work.
– Nobody ever raised any objections, on the contrary, I was shown as an example at all meetings concerning the Polish Order, I presented my parts on my own. I think that the narrative that was created is just such a reason, invented to show that this resignation is not a direct result of criticism of the government’s work, she added.
